Baume et Mercier x Aurelien Giraud

Baume et Mercier are paving a younger, bolder road in 2021.

Taking inspiration from one of their most identifiable designs, Baume et Mercier has brought back the iconic Riviera. The dodecagonal case design was first released in 1973 and helped to further establish the creative credentials of the Maison. While the dodecagonal case from the 70s remains, the new Riviera designs are distinctly modern.

Part of the new Riviera design consists of a brand-new interchangeable strap system called Fast Strap system. This new system comes with a selection of colorful rubber straps as an additional offer. This allows for easy customisation with plenty of options.

BAUME ET MERCIER RIVIERA 10617

"A LOVE OF DESIGN, A REGARD FOR FORM, AND A DESIRE FOR BOLDNESS."

The Riviera 10617 stands out as a Hardy Brothers favourite among the new and diverse collection. Powered by the popular in-house Baumatic calibre, this watch is a signifier of big things to come from Baume et Mercier. The Baumatic calibre is on full display through a smoked sapphire grey dial and a transparent case back. The case is sandblasted black steel-ADLC.

In alignment with the design spirit of the Riviera, Baume et Mercier have partnered with professional skater Aurelien Giraud. Aurelien is a notoriously talented skater from Lyon, France who is gearing up for the Tokyo Olympics for the French team.

The revival of the Riviera and Baume et Mercier's collaboration with a pro skater defines a clear, new path for the brand that Hardy Brothers is excited to watch unfold.
