ABOUT TROPHY MAKING

It is one of Hardy Brothers Jewellers’ great honours to be the master creator and restorer of Australia’s most treasured sporting trophies, cups, shields and memorabilia. We are the manufacturer of the handcrafted 18ct solid Gold Melbourne Cup Trophy, a relationship that began over 28 years ago. The Cup is the marque of Australian horse racing glory, with its three handles, distinctive silhouette and glowing Gold aura, pieced together with pins and rivets – the traditional method of craftsmanship that has not changed since 1919. We are also the makers of the Queen’s Cup and were commissioned to restore the Sheffield Shield, now more than 115 years young. Most recently our expert craftsmen were given the honour of supplying the Perpetual Peter Brock Trophy for the Bathurst 1000, the Players’ Cup for the Australian Wallabies and the World Boxing Council Championship Belt.

Apart from these very famous icons, we also design and manufacture trophies for individuals, corporations and sporting events, clubs and associations using materials from metals to crystal and glass.
